A "HERO'S" TRIBUTE

The first American flag to fly over the F.S.O.S. was the Burial Flag of Charter Member James Dunn, father of current member Tom "Gunny" Dunn, the first Club member to pass away, and was an 82nd Airborne paratrooper who was wounded at the Battle of the Bulge in World War II.

At the F.S.O.S. Building Dedication in 1968, two other sons, James Jr. and John Dunn, shown below, raised their father's United States flag as well as the Irish Tricolor on the poles here at the Club.
